Successful Revascularization of Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO)

A diabetic patient presenting with toe gangrene due to CTO of the tibioperoneal trunk underwent successful angioplasty, restoring blood flow in the posterior tibial artery.

Pre-Procedural Diagnosis:
  • Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) of tibioperoneal trunk
  • Diabetic foot with toe gangrene
Procedure:
  • Angioplasty of tibioperoneal trunk CTO
Post-Procedural Outcome:
  • Successful revascularization with good flow in posterior tibial artery
  • Improved perfusion to affected foot and toes

This intervention aimed to prevent further tissue loss, promote wound healing, and alleviate symptoms.
